Day 74: Monday Funday

The Routine

Today was a packed day. I had a few too many context switches jumping between topics. Thankfully, a latte macchiato in the morning and espresso after lunch carried me through the day. Things are starting to come together and loose ends are wrapping up nicely. These last 2 weeks are filled with various presentations, proposals, pitches, and lots of final coffee syncs and lunches.

Day’s End

By the time I got home, I was wiped out and exhausted. For some reason, I had a massive craving for a burger. I decided to walk over to Burgerheart. My craving got kicked in the butt by a burger called The Chuck Norris with some onion rings and a Radler on the side. I couldn’t help myself and decided to go for a chocolate lava cake with a scoop of vegan caramel ice-cream. I could barely walk home after indulging my heart away.

Good News

Yesterday, I spent part of my morning shopping for a travel case for my bike. I opted to not have it packed away in the original box because I didn’t particularly trust the cardboard to withstand Lufthansa Airlines. Also, I wanted to invest in a bike case that I could use with my triathlon bike for races in the future that require traveling.

After surfing through a few sites, I finally found what I was looking for on https://hollandbikeshop.com/en-gb/. I was pretty nervous, because I entered my credit card and didn’t receive a confirmation of the purchase for almost 24 hours. I checked my email on the walk home, and I was relieved that the order was received and that the package has already been shipped. Fingers crossed it arrives in original condition 👌🏾.

Tomorrow’s an early start, so it’s time to hit the bed.
