Day 61: Busy Bee
Routine
It felt really nice to experience my routine again: wake up, read, drink a cup of coffee / tea, go to the office, crunch through work, come home, crunch through more work, have dinner, and relax. Energy-wise, I felt much better today. My voice cracked here and there, so I chugged bottles of water like a madman to keep my throat from drying out.
I had to bop around locations to meet with different teams today. It’s nice to be mobile, but sometimes it’s stressful, especially if there are construction zones popping up. I had Linsen mit Spätzle for lunch, and for some, that felt like the greatest meal I’ve had in days. I guess I have a real hankering for traditional Swabian dishes.
Post-Work
I managed to scarf down an oven-prepared Flammkuchen before my last meeting. I left it in the oven for 1 minute too long, and it quickly became a burnt cheese bread. It still tasted delicious.
After wrapping up my call late in the evening, I jumped back into a really fascinating article / blog post / book entry by Stephen Wolfram on ChatGPT and LLMs. I highly recommend this to anyone who has an interest in understanding LLMs on a deeper, technical level.
Stephen Wolfram is a legend in the computing field, and his articles never cease to take my understanding of things to another level. This will be my morning and evening technical read for the next few days.
GPT-4 talking me out of world domination. Thanks, Uncle Ben.
