Day 54: Back to the MTC

Recovered

I felt much better this morning when I woke up. My body needed a lot of rest. The couch and television served as a solid med bay. I chugged 3 bottles of water with electrolytes to refuel. My body felt nice and hydrated.

Return

I got into the MTC (Mercedes Technology Center) at around 10:00AM. This was my first day at the MTC since the unfortunate event a few weeks ago. I had some meetings on the main campus, so I posted up at a nearby on-campus cafe to get through emails and messages.

It felt weird being back. Things seemed to be back to normal. I know that many people still think about the incident. I learned that there is an on-campus nursery / kindergarten for employees’ kids, so I can’t even begin to imagine what went through their minds when it occurred. For the most part, if felt like business as usual. I know that security is tightened down and security guards / police are more visible. It’s a sad but necessary precaution…

Home Again

I got home in the early evening. After finishing my last call for the day, I was starving, so I went to Marien Grill, the local Döner Kebab place around the corner. This is my 3rd or 4th time going there. On the way back, I bumped into my Airbnb landlord, and he told me that Marien Grill is considered one of the best places in the area and ranks among some of the best in Stuttgart. As always, it was a delicious meal👌🏾.
