Day 46: Like Clockwork

Dusk Till Dawn

Not much has happened today other than just another busy work day. I’ve officially received an employee badge, so I no longer need to use a Temporary Badge to access buildings across different campuses. It’s got my name on it, but for some reason I rejected my face, so it’s just a picture of a key. That’s good enough for me.

In other news, I learned that in two weeks, there’s another holiday, which means that after this 4-day weekend, there’s immediately another 3-day weekend. While I’m happy for the downtime, I can only imagine this can be a killer for anyone looking to get into a rhythm and keep up their day-to-day work routine. It’s something I’m still getting used to, but I can’t complain. Maybe that’s when I visit Vienna…

I stopped by Rewe to grab some shampoo and soap. I decided to pick-up a bottle of Rotwein (translation: red wine). I’m a big fan of locally sourced wines, especially wines that are really affordable and approachable. I’ve learned that this can be a very lucrative business model for both seller and distributor from Trader Joe’s. It’s a Spätburgunder, or pinot noir. I think it has a cool bottle jacket design. Hopefully it tastes as good as it looks.
