Day 42: Safe

Unfortunate News

Today had a somber feeling. Unfortunately, there was a shooting at the MTC main campus in Sindelfingen. An employee discharged a firearm in an attack against co-workers in the Factory 56 Plant, where our next generation S-Class and EQS vehicles are built and manufactured. In recent times, Germany, and Europe more broadly, has seen a sharp uprising in gun-related deaths and mass shootings. It’s sad to see these statistics. As an American, to be quite honest, I’m almost numb. Each news report that breaks of another shooting hurts. Germany is already in motion to tighten down gun restrictions even more to levels that the US would call blasphemous, but which are 100% needed to protect its citizens. I think there’s a lesson to be learned here...
